Optical Services provided by Eye Doctors in Blue Springs, MO
At Blue Springs Optical, a division of Advanced Eyecare, we offer an array of optical services. Our optometrists pride themselves on making you feel comfortable and ensuring you receive the optimal level of care. We give Blue Springs, MO and the surrounding area a variety of treatments including contact lenses and designer frames. We even carry sunglasses and specialty contact lenses like hard to fit ones and scleral lenses.
We determine your need for contacts or glasses based on an eye examination. During your exam, one of our optometrists examines the inside of your eyes using a specialized microscope. We can ensure that contacts are safe for you or identify if you need a specialized kind. This test allows us to evaluate your vision, so we can figure out your prescription for either contacts or glasses. We're also able to tell if you have astigmatism from your eye examination, which could mean you need specialty contact lenses.
Contact Lens Exams
We offer Raymore, Raytown, and the nearby region the benefit of optometrists skilled in providing contact lens exams. During the exam, we determine the strength of your contacts as well as the dimensions. If you're a first-time contact wearer, we'll explain to you the care procedure. Then, we'll provide you with a supply of contact lenses, even if they're hard to fit, Ortho-k, or scleral lenses. Ortho-k is a type of contacts that you wear at night. They reshape your eyes, so light refracts correctly on your retina. Scleral lenses, on the other hand, cover a large portion of your eyes. What we don't have in stock at our store, we'll order for you.
Even if you already have contacts, you may want to have a pair of eyeglasses. We determine your prescription and size of your glasses, so the stems fit you comfortably. We perform lens coating. This process consists of one of our eye doctors placing an invisible coating on your eyes. It helps people who look into your eyes from seeing a reflection. Additionally, it acts as an anti-reflective coating that reduces glare for you. It makes it easier for you to perform tasks like night driving as well as reading and computer usage. We recommend lens coating for any person who wears eyeglasses. It's even more important for people who have eyeglasses with polycarbonate or high-index lenses. These tend to reflect more light than most lenses. We can pair you with sunglasses too. Either we can give you a pair of prescription sunglasses, or we can use transitional lenses in your eyeglasses.
